Japan is culture-mixed country, so you can find the restaurants from all countries. For example, Chinese noodle "La-mian" and Indian "curry" are very popular in Japan .

Fast Food

 Mc Donald's Japan is very popular hamburger store also in Japan , and there is some hamburger store made in Japan , such as "Mos Burger ", very delicious!

 If you are interested in Japanese-style fast food, we recommend "Gyu-don (Beef Bowl)". It's fast, cheap, and delicious! You can find easily the Gyu-don stores everywhere in Japan , such as "Yoshino-ya ", " Matsu-ya", "Suki-ya ", and so on.

 Japanese noodles "Udon" & "Soba" are also low-priced food. "Takigui-soba" & "Sanuki-udon" chain stores are especially good for Backpackers.

 

Japanese Food & Others

 Sushi is one of Japanese famous food all over the world. But most of traditional sushi restaurant is expensive. If you enjoy the sushi with small amount of money, you go to "Kaiten-zushi". "Kaiten-zushi" resutanrant is popular also in Japanese, so you can find it everywhere. 

 When you visit Osaka, you try "Okonomi-yaki", "Tako-yaki"! Both are special food of Osaka. 

 If you are drinker, we strongly recommend "Izaka-ya", in which you can taste many alcohol including "Sake".

 

Supermarket

If you cook lunch or dinner, you can save money using the supermarket. In Japan there are many supermarkets with many kinds of food, diary item and so on.

 

Daily Items

Convenience Store & 100-yen Shop

You can find many Convenience Stores in Japan . The price isn't so cheap, but you'll find what you want.

In recent, "100-yen Store" is popular in Japan. You can buy many daily items with 100 yen in it.

 

Entertainment

Traditional Festival

If you have a chance to see the Japanese traditional festival "Matsuri", you are lucky! Many festivals are held especially in summer.

If you're interested in the exciting festival, just visit "Danjiri-matsuri" in south Osaka on September .

 

Electric Appliances

Japan is also Mecca of the electric junkies. You'll be surprised at the progress of PC, digital cameras, mobile phones and so on. The most famous spots are Akihabara (Tokyo ) and Nippon-bashi (Osaka ).

Akihabara has its own sub-culture. It's the very unique spot.

 

Shopping

Tokyo has an aspect of Trend & Fashion city. You can get every kind of fashion items from brand-named goods to used cloths.

There are also many outlet malls, in which you can buy the brand-named goods with a good price.

 

Sports

The Baseball "Pro-Yakyu" & Soccer "J-League" are very popular also in Japan . When you want an excitement, just visit the stadium!

There are also some circuits for the motor races. For example, "Formula 1", "Formula Japan", "Formula 3", "Super GT", "Motor Tec". "Suzuka Circuit", "Fuji-Speedway " "Twin link Motegi" are famous circuits.

 

Mountain (Ski, Climb.)

Hokkaido and Nagano are good places to ski. Both areas are very famous with Winter Olympic Games.

For the mountain climbing lovers, we recommend the climb of Mt. Fuji , the tallest mountain in Japan .

 

Amusement park

When you miss the theme park, just visit Tokyo or Osaka! Disney Land is located near Tokyo, and Universal Studios Japan is in Osaka.

 

Spa

The hot spring "Onsen" is one of very popular relaxations in Japan . Although the custom of the public bath is characteristic in Asia , we are sure it's enjoyable also for the travelers from other regions.

Kusatsu Spa (Gumma), Atami Spa (Shizuoka), Gero Spa (Gifu)  , Yufuin Spa ( Oita ) are famous spas.

 

Clubbing & Events

In the big city ( Tokyo , Osaka .), you can enjoy the night in the discotheque. Tokyo is one of the best city for clubbing-lovers, and many events are held here & there!
